Among other things, LG is also scheduled to launch the LG G8 ThinQ at its February 24 event, which the Korean giant has already confirmed will come with time-of-flight (ToF) sensors. And now, LG has confirmed another interesting feature that will be making its way to its G-series device. The LG G8 ThinQ will come with the Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology that will essentially turn the phone’s OLED display into an audio amplifier. The technology, as the company explained, would use the display as a “diaphragm, vibrating the entire surface to produce sound”. The company claims that its new audio technology would improve the overall quality of the sound produced. While in the normal mode the phone would use its OLED screen to produce sound, in the speakerphone mode, the phone will deliver the sound using the speakers that are placed on the bottom of the body and on top side of the display.Apart from the CSO technology, the phone would also come with a bunch of other audio technologies that we have already seen in some of LG’s older phones like the LG G7 ThinQ, which we reviewed last year. The list of audio technologies included in the upcoming LG G8 ThinQ are — DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Boombox Speaker and Master Quality Authenticated.advertisementAs mentioned before, the LG G8 ThinQ will come with ToF sensors that will not only improve the accuracy of its facial recognition system but also increase the efficiency of its front camera.Notably, while LG has already confirmed some of the features, the images of the G8 ThinQ that were leaked online earlier this week have revealed that the phone will come with dual-camera setup at the back that will be placed just above the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The images also revealed that the phone will come with a notch that will house its ToF sensors and it would sport narrow bezels on the sides and on the bottom.Additionally, the phone is likely to come with a secondary screen that can be attached to the main body. However, the company hasn’t confirmed this feature yet. And we will know more about the phone when LG unveils the phone later this month.ALSO READ: | LG G8 ThinQ images leaked online ahead of MWC 2019 launchALSO READ: | LG G8 ThinQ price leaked ahead of MWC 2019, in India may cost above Rs 60,000ALSO READ: | LG G8 rumour roundup: Attachable screen, sound on display and everything else we know so farlast_img
