First official look of Redmi K20 is out, confirms three cameras and hints at in-display fingerprint sensor

The company has confirmed that the Redmi K20 will launch on May 28. This is the day when the Redmi K20 will go official in Xiaomi’s home market, China. The Redmi K20 will come to India as well. Last week Xiaomi India confirmed that the Redmi K20 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 will launch in India very soon. The company has yet to reveal the India launch date of the Redmi K20, but we believe that the phone may be available in the country sometime around June. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Jain has revealed the first look of the Redmi K20.Jain revealed the first look at the Redmi K20 via a Twitter post on Wednesday. In the photo posted by Jain the Redmi K20 appears in Red colour. We expect there will be other colour variants of the Redmi K20. The picture of the Redmi K20 also reveals some of the key details about the phone. The picture shows that the Redmi K20 will include triple cameras on the back panel followed by LED flash. The triple camera module is placed in the middle of the rear panel. The primary camera that is expected to sport a 48MP sensor is seen placed separately on the back, which is then followed by a dual camera setup placed inside the same module.Interestingly, the Redmi K20 doesn’t show a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. This hints at the under the display fingerprint sensor. As rumours also revealed the Redmi K20 will be the first phone from Redmi to come with in-display fingerprint sensor. Rumours and leaks suggest that the Redmi K20 will come with seventh generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor that will enable users to unlock the screen look at finger touch.advertisementAhead of the launch almost all the specs of the Redmi K20 have been revealed. Rumours suggest that two phones are going to launch under the Redmi K series on May 28. One will be the Redmi K20 that is said to be powered by Snapdragon 700 series processor. The second one will be the Pro edition aka Redmi K20 Pro that is said to be powered by Snapdragon 855 flagship processor.Let’s take a quick look at all the key specs of the Redmi K20: –The Redmi K20 will come with a 6.39-inch display with Super AMOLED panel on the top. The phone is said to offer 91.2 per cent screen to body ratio and screen resolution of 1080 x 2340p. Boat with Sri Lankans detained after entering Reunion island

Earlier this month another group of Sri Lankans had also reached Reunion island by boat and sought asylum. The boat was identified as being registered under the name “Roshan” and was detained when it entered the waters off Reunion island. A boat with a group of Sri Lankans was detained after it entered Reunion island last afternoon (Wednesday), media reports from Reunion stated.Reports said that seven men were on the fishing boat registered in Sri Lanka.
