Government briefs monks on process to draft new Constitution

The Minister recalled that even when Mahinda Rajapaksa was President an all party committee had submitted proposals for Constitutional amendments and several opinions were expressed. He asserted that everything that is being said are the views of individuals and is not part of the final document. Ranawaka said that the ideas put forward at present by several political parties, including the joint opposition, are being studied yet nothing is final.
